It is a matter of great
pleasure, pride and privilege to introduce Swami Shree Yogi Satyam, an eminent
personality of India in the field of KRIYAYOGA - a unique technique of
meditation and Self-Realization, the foundation of which was laid by Maharishi
Patanjali, later on revived and concretized by Lahiri Mahasaya and spread in the
West by Paramahansa Yogananda. Swami Shree Yogi Satyam, a true disciple of
Lahiri Mahasaya, seems to be the exact incarnation of Paramahansa Yogananda,
having taken birth to propound Kriyayoga now in India, and to unite the
world as one. Just before his Mahasamadhi*,
Paramahansa Yogananda ji said, as quoted in “Paramahansa Yogananda In Memoriam”,
–
“Mortal fires may raze all her homes and golden paddy fields;
Yet to sleep on her ashes and dream immortality,
O India, I will be there!…….
Where Ganges, woods, Himalayan Caves, and men dream God–”
In Paramahansa Yogananda
ji’s publication and literature, it is clearly indicated that he would incarnate
on earth again and again until all persons reach God. Again, I quote from “Man’s
Eternal Quest” by Paramahansa Yogananda ji –
“I want to ply my boat, many times,
Across the gulf-after-death,
And return to earth’s shores from my home in Heaven.
I want to load my boat
With those waiting, thirsty ones who are left behind,
And carry them by the opal pool of iridescent joy
Where my Father distributes
His all-desire-quenching liquid peace...”

consciousness departure from the body
In my close observation
of the teachings and undertakings of Swami Shree Yogi Satyam, I am more than
just impressed and have no doubt that the promise of Paramahansa Yogananda ji is
being held to the word.
What are some of the
benefits of Kriyayoga? Regular practice of Kriyayoga infuses the strong
elements of intuition, confidence, peace and patience. It inculcates a sense of
devotion to duty, a cool temperament free from anger and anguish.
The sensory perceptions
which peep inside the body promote tolerance;egoistic traits disappear. It
emancipates the body and soul and puts them on the exalted pedestal. Worldly
bondage are incapable of arresting the attainment of heights and union of self
with supreme power. Peace and pleasure are the concomitant factors which elate
the regular practitioner of Kriyayoga. Multi-faceted problems of this
complicated and complex life vanish. The efficacy of Kriyayoga is free from any
doubt and suspicion.
New horizons and wide
spectrum of Kriyayoga are beyond limits. Swami Shree Yogi Satyam has excelled in
the pioneering field. He has made the system completely simple, interesting,
absorbing and practical by an admixture of flavour of different mythological
stories and epics - Mahabharata, Ramayana and Bhagvad Gita. Swami
Satyam ji is a rishi of cosmopolitan outlook and a personified noble soul of
communal harmony. His ashram (Kriyayoga Research Institute, Allahabad)
bears testimony of this statement. Masjid, Mandir, Gurudwara and Church are to
coexist in each other's vicinity in the same campus. What a confluence of all
the religions on the bank of Holy Ganges! In the many interactions with Swamiji,
I was most delighted with the fact that the work of Swamiji crosses all
boundaries – race, religion and creed. I observed that the members of other
communities are even more so devoted to the radical harmonious principles and
vision of Shree Satyam ji, even more than Hindus.
At his Yoga center, he
has provided sure cure to the patients of high blood pressure, allergies,
low-back pain, migraines, diabetes, muscle spasm and host of other common and
dreaded diseases.
I have personally
undertaken a few classes and courses of Kriyayoga conducted by Yogiji. It has
left an indelible impression and mark on my sprititual, moral and physical
well-being. People who are around me are of late amazed on my bubbling gait and
vitality. I feel stress free. Exhaustion, which I use to experience, more often
than not, has disappeared.
Yogi Satyam dedicated, as
he is, is busy in disseminating the cultural heritage and knowledge across the
frontiers of our country by undertaking hectic and arduous long journeys to
different countries. His untiring efforts have resulted in alleviating the
sufferings of many people. His quest for everlasting peace, happiness and well
being of human beings is admirable.
In the recent Kumbh mela,
I closely observed and also was an active participant in the many programmes of
Swamiji. Hundreds of foreigners, mainly from Northamerica, too were present
during these sessions. I was truly overwhelmed at the positive and effective
efforts of Swamiji to enable others to understand that Kriyayoga is the highest
effective means to solve all problems of life at a personal, social, national
and international levels. I was amazed after observing incredible results in
persons who were practising Kriyayoga. To quote a few examples, reduction of
blood sugar level from 481 to 202 even though a person was regularly given
potato and rice (Mr Lal Bhadur, Surat), an elder Caucasian lady with
complete white hair gaining natural dark black hair, transformation of old age
bone into young adult bone within 4 years of practice (Ann Edwards, Toronto),
reduction of enlarged heart to normal size within 5 years of practice (Savitri
Bajaj, Toronto), disappearance of rheumatic arthritis and rheumatoid (Colonel
A.K. Shukla, Allahabad) etc… I consider myself to be extremely fortunate to
have the opportunity to be in close association with Yogiji.
I wish all success in the
unfathomable mission of Yogiji.
